49 year-old female with right breast cancer who had bilateral mastectomies*

Procedure Details

49 year-old female with history of right breast cancer who had bilateral mastectomies and immediate implant-based breast reconstruction. The patient had adequate skin perfusion of her mastectomy flaps as assessed by the Hamamatsu Near-Infrared Tissue Perfusion evaluation. The reconstruction was done with bilateral Alloderm wraps of 295 cc Anatomical Shaped Allergan Style 410 Silicone Gel breast implants. The implants were placed in the subcutaneous position with the Alloderm wrap and a KCI wound vac bra was placed for postop wound care. The patient did well with no postoperative issues and is considering nipple reconstruction.
